Daughter donates kidney to her ailing father

When Andrea D’Angelo learned that her father, John D’Angelo, needed a new kidney, she decided she would donate one of hers. The successful surgeries were performed by WUSTL transplant surgeons at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Now, the family shares its story to educate and encourage others.

85th Annual Fashion Design Show Sunday

The Sam Fox School will present its 85th Annual Fashion Design Show on Sunday, May 4, in the 560 Music Center. The fully choreographed, Paris-style extravaganza will feature dozens of models wearing scores of outfits by 26 aspiring designers.

Copper nanowires could become basis for new solar cells

WUSTL engineer Parag Banerjee, PhD, and his team have discovered how copper sprouts grass-like nanowires that could one day be made into solar cells. They took a step toward making solar cells and other products more cost-effective.
